The Sedgewood Club is hosting a Kent Candidates’ Forum at the Sedgewood Boathouse next Sunday, October 20 at 3 pm, that is open to all Kent residents. Located on China Pond at 1024 Barrett Circle West, the Boathouse is at the top of Kittredge Dr., which exits Route 301, just south of Clearpool Rd. in Western Kent. Candidates for Kent Town Supervisor, Kent Town Board (2 seats), Putnam County Judge, Putnam Legislative District 5 (southeastern Lake Carmel) and State Supreme Court Judge from both parties are expected to attend.
Jerry and Marie Merzon are opening their home overlooking Boyds Corner Reservoir at 68 Nimham Road, just off Route 301, for the Kent Democratic Committee’s Fall Fund-Raiser on Sunday, October 13, from 3 to 5 pm.
If you’ve attended our events before, you know the Kent Committee can give a good party. There will be lively discussion, articulate candidates (see below) and a chance to meet neighbors you’ll like in a lovely location.
Please rsvp your acceptance to KentNYDemocrats@gmail.com.
While suggested donation levels are $25, $50, $75 or more, it is most important that all feel comfortable attending. Feel free to donate as you are able.
